This Is Finally Happening!

I have been thinking about starting a blog for 10 years now. I have cycled through ideas of what to write about, more than is helpful to be fully honest.  Now that I have moved to New Zealand though I have decided to bite the proverbial bullet and just start writing. With that said this blog may end up being a meandering mess for a bit while I get myself situated so thank y’all all for bearing with me as I get everything put together.

Currently my life is mainly taken up with getting myself situated in my new home, Taupo New Zealand. I am working full time at a hostel, where I work both at the front desk and as a housekeeper; I also am living at said hostel, which on one hand is lovely because you can’t beat that commute, on the other hand it is less than ideal because I am living at a hostel.

I am excited to be sharing my experiences though. As an ex-pat in New Zealand, as a trans-queer-neurodivergent-disabled young adult, and as someone who loves nothing more than consuming new media and experiences and then talking about them.

With all that said, if anyone has questions or topics they would like me to talk about or explain please let me know! As much as this blog may just end up being me writing into the ether, I would like any feedback, input, or questions that may come from the ether.

Planned Topics

For all that this blog will be very free form (my way of trying to make “all over the place” sound professional) I do have SO MANY ideas of things I want to write about, describe to y’all, and just share in general. So here is a list of things y’all can expect to hear about from me.

• Moving to New Zealand on a working holiday visa.
• Living in New Zealand.
• The potted garden I have started at my hostel.
• My travels.
• How I live with my laundry list of disabilities/chronic illnesses.
• Living as a trans person in the current world, and possibly my experience transitioning in Texas (if there is any interest).
• How I work on building a community and meeting people when I move to somewhere where I don’t know anyone.

I look forward to being able to ramble on while only bothering those interested, and who knows, maybe I will be able to help people interested in moving, traveling, and whatever else I talk about on this thing. At the very least I will be able to answer the questions I get asked on the regular.
